You were the only one
I know who smiled as we kiss.
Your cheeks blush in shades
That paint the sky on falling day.
You always shined, so I learnt
To match with my nightly glow.
Tracing fingertips along
Your silk skin wondering:
To my soul, your skin tells me
stories of beauty and lust
In goosebump braille.
Is this my work of art,
Or translations of starlight,
Angel hair 'n sapphiere eyes
Racing through my veins...
II.
I dont mind,
As you float away.
The stars
Will keep you safe.
Saving a spot
For you to shine.
This I know.
They protect their own.
In my night sky,
You sit on Orions belt.
Flirting with a full moon.
Enjoy the view, love.
You always had heaven
Bursting in your eyes.
So you cannot go where
You have always been.
Till we meet again,
I run a finger over a flame.
Discover new smiles
And write this simple poem
To add as a feather
To your crystalized wings.
I will set a fire
Everywhere I go
And scorch
Tearful thoughts.
III.
A pen and matches.
I'm stepping out of shadows
On nights such as this.
To let my spirit blow kisses
Towards the sky.
Every gust of wind,
Sounds like you letting
Out a distant sigh.
I told you once,
I know if you're smiling
just by the sound
Of how you breathe.
You giggled,
As embers burned
Inside my pockets
And this pen, so eager,
Embraced feelings
Waltzing with wild fire
named after you.
...it has always been you.
