Her turncoat i fear

Post by lightedbyu » April 21st, 2016, 3:11 am

She has my beating heart,
and i fear her pressure;
afraid of rips.
How about another fine love;
before its sour.

Be a shooting star to become the wish.

I love a short poem that packs a punch

"Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

took it as running away before being rejected...but I could also have taken it to mean a romp just incase the end is near. I'm for the second one! I almost tried that reasoning to get lucky this very morning...but had to stop myself from resorting to manipulation. heh

Narrator may be fearful, but I notice he has not left yet. He is lingering with hope. This poem was short to give Narrator opportunity to pursue the possibility of romance, that this time might be different.
