Daydreams

Not to compete
inspiring

Wake up fully alive
as time melts

Myriad "I" come and go
but whatever else

Too infinite to be
now realized

What if body is a boat
and mind is a captain

What about the sea, wind
and the whole, vast rest

In the heartbeat, in sync
in harmony, and in symphony

Sitting on a sandy beach
gazing at the horizon

Sunrise, sunset, dawn to dusk
Dusk till dawn moonlit, together

A thought-provoking piece. Lots of different ideas all tied together. I like it. Especially these parts: "What if boat is a body
and captain is a mind" and
"Sunrise, sunset, dawn to dusk
Dusk till dawn moonlit, together".

Nice work!

Daydreams indeed.....what if the dream is life and life is the dream? An age old question. The mind is such a powerful entity all on its own, and capable of convincing us of so many different scenarios in our days. Finding our soul's purpose and then navigating the tides that will carry us toward it, is what Life is all about. Beautiful write. Thank you

All that's happening, good and bad, makes us aware of life or being, that seems to help go beyond but we are stuck in-between, that seems to keep everything going, and I hope, to good for all - I must be daydreaming. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Ladywildalice.

Isn't it crazy, what we all visualize when we daydream. Our most true, visible, and original thoughts come to us. Thank you for a look into your imaginary realm. Great piece.

Thanks much for sharing your opinion, jfreephilosophy. Sometimes I feel urged to be just plain life without a name, no, nothing but with pure energy.

Simple and beautiful. Introspective and yet calming, serene and peaceful. It does indeed feel like a daydream. Well done.

I let the sun on my skin.
Pretend I don't burn
I'm not burning here.
I just lay ash
On my eyelids,
And rub it deep into my
Bones.
