Dialogue With God

Post by INFPoet » May 4th, 2017, 8:43 am

Why God, all this pain?
I am tired of the rain,
And I have lost my joy.

I am holding all your tears,
I remember all those fears:
I used to be a Boy.

But I'm sick and cannot see;
There's a mist in front of me.
I'm alone and scared and small.

But I've got you in My hand.
You're too young to understand;
You must trust Me through it all.

But I cannot see the way,
And the shadows hide the day.
Why God, all these tears?

Sin has blackened out the truth,
Still in all your tender youth,
You must give to Me your fears.

Will You hold me then? I'm weak;
Only rest and joy I seek;
I am tired of the fight.

I will hold you then - I'm strong;
It is here that you belong
All through the night.

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight...
(J.R.R. Tolkien, LOTR)

Perfect! It is better to question with faith, than to question without it. Life takes time, and to get a better understanding of it, we sometimes need to surrender ourselves. Some of our hands will end up being dirtier than others, but the peace of mind that we seek, is mostly the same.
Thank You for sharing!

Your words of struggle are not uncommon for those who strive to follow and obey Heveanly Father. Behold the words of Jesus Christ, God the Creator, the greatest of all, saying; Father if there be some other way take this cup from me, nevertheless not my will but thine be done! As the old saying goes, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!!!" A great spiritual leader, Spencer W. Kimball said "Never, never, never, give up!" Another great spiritual leader, Russell M. Nelson said, "Joy, is the gift that comes from intentionally "trying" to live a righteous life, as taught by Jesus Christ." Press on dear brother in Christ. Thanks for sharing your poem and heart with us. anthony

Oh, how beautiful the night, where love shines more brightly than the day.

Thank you, my friends. When I am in doubt about the ways of my Father, I like to remember that I am but a child, and as when I was physically a child, I was too young to understand many things. Spiritually, that is still so, and therefore I must trust the One who does know.

Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid though as a poem it is quite nicely rhymed. To judge by the responses here you are preaching to the converted which I am not. The verses relates to you and your relationship with your God. Commonly those with faith always resort to the "great plan" the "great mystery" when they hit some unpleasant aspect of life they can't explain and that seems contrary to their "loving God". Last week I met a young woman who was born without a face, of course totally blind and crippled so she lived in a wheel chair. People pray for God to intercede so that implies that God is in control of everything in this world so please explain to that girl, not me, why God allowed such a dreadful existence.

know the call of the angels from the sound of the organ grinding, less you mistake the circus for the Truth and leave your dreams to spoil in the sun.

Well done. Thank you.
