We weaved wonder
Willing wisdom
To take control.
We did not
Want it
Deserve it
Or clamour for it.
We were one bedlam,
fitting with life powers.
Foresaken
But then who cares if we
Sang songs in tune but in
A different key.
We were marzipan,
and that cake with horizontal colours
Or silly sausages needing some sizzle.
We were greedy.
Greedy guts of gargantuan size.
Consuming each other with gusto.
Be lucky and eat well!
To all of you.
Today is all

These were my favourite lines, full of affection! Many language devices used in this poem that were deployed for a purpose. Well-thought-out poem.

The word selection for me was outstanding. Weaving signified the relationship. The differences between the two of you come together in remarkable ways and create the 'wonder'. As a couple you may not know if the combination of the two of you will work, so you do will that wisdom takes control. The poem was very thought provoking.
