carry me gently into an endless dream
on a lazy river of music
to make sense once more of the stars
which have eluded me for so long
but like all children
their prodigal son shall return
and the stories on my skin
now shelved under layers of ash in the earth
shall shoot through the night sky
an epic comet that, for a moment in time,
will capture the awe of some fortunate creature
and in them, too, create a longing to fly
my testament

Re: my testament
Great piece, aoeclald. I too seek the stars (they hold such mysteries.) In dreams, much may emerge to beget resolve. That's what passes thru my mind. Thanks for sharing.

Re: my testament
Such beautiful words, aeoclald. In this fine poem I read the desire to trascend the human condition and become one with the cosmos. Such longing expressed, seemingly, without an ounce of angst. Well done.

Re: my testament
Hi, Admired the sentiment in this poem, for I also feel that a part of our energy will always exist. There is so much we can never know, so our imaginations can take us to where we dream of going..TY..Tangie..

As an amateur astronomer this works so well for me. Great piece. Great word choices. Great poem. Well done on the spotlight.
