High-School

Post by Kahmielyun » February 24th, 2019, 10:28 am

I sit at my desk in formal attire
Black board brush chalked through all of the fibers
She is on the other side of the room
In the back, she tries not to be in view
She fades surrounding students through daydream
Trying to clear her mind, but she’s failing
I hold a note I would like her to read
I hope she’ll see through the lines of loose leaf

I walk alone by the vacant bleachers
Her coughing echoes, but I can’t see her
Green floats in the air and fills up my nose
She chokes a little and giggles through smoke
She passes me the fire with a smile
We lock eyes as i take a deep inhale
I hand her the light and our fingers touch
Blown away by the pull of a pushed puff

The infatuation of teenage high school romance, emotionally led by the heart, the mind is absent..I get the poem and enjoyed it.

Thank you muchly. I’m glad you enjoyed. And your examination actually provided some insight into the situation this poem is related to. Thanks haha

Well done on the spotlight. Indeed I remember those days. Peer pressure and trying to impress the people you liked-it can be tricky. One day you're up and the next day you're down
